Street theatre depicting the effect of government pressure on tenants of Vancouver's Little Mountain social housing project to relocate as the Province has decided that the land they currently reside on will be sold to the highest bidder in the private sector. While government has promised all 224 social housing units will be replaced and that all tenants are invited to return after the development is complete, construction is not scheduled to begin until after the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Protestors take issue with the destruction of their community through displacement and with the fact the units will remain empty as Vancouver's homeless population continues to rise. They also disagree with the government's decision to sell public land because "once it's gone, it's gone forever."

My first memories as a child is this same apartment building. In those days, struggling actors, singers, artists, and studio technicians onced lived there. Soon a wide variety of society's rejects moved in like bi-racial couples and their children, single mothers, professional welfare collectors, and a assortment of shady types-the faces change but the problems persist.
